May 6- I really missed Stacey today! Jessica, Andy, Mike, Evan, Gene, Dave, Ken, Alex, Maryellen, Greg, Bill, Brian, Phil, George. Visitor: Justin (Cambridge) Speakers: Bill, American Legion/ Veteran's Aid and Rick Gurnon, Massachusetts Maritime Academy

Well wishes for Anna returning home and for Richard undergoing surgery

Review of District Conference by Andy and Bill- summed up as great conference and reminder of the amazing things Rotary a accomplishes on large scale through the work of individuals and clubs.

Foundation report: 14 sustaining members. Half of the money you give today will come back to the District in 3 years. The other half supports making the world a better place.

Bill from the American Legion spoke about the community programs the Legion supports and thanked us for our generosity over the years. Bill also touched on veteran issues such as Memorial Day flags at the cemetery and upcoming parade. Also told us 1-2 returning soldiers return home to Arlington per month.

Rick Gurnon provided a history of Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Spoke about pirates. Answered questions. He also told the story of my admittance into MMA. It was a great presentation and my notes do it no justice!
