Announcement:

There will be a meeting of the Paul Harris Fellows after this week's meeting to select the Paul Harris awardee(s) for this year


There will be a meeting of “The Rotary Leadership Institute” on Saturday April 5th 2008 at the Amica Insurance Company Campus in Lincoln Rhode Island. This is a 3 part course, Part 1 will be offered to two Rotarians from our Club, Rotarians who have completed part one may sign up for Part 2 or 3. Each session is one day starting at 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Tuition will be paid by our Club. One day would be well invested for those of you who wish to maximize your Rotary experience. Andy is anxiously waiting for two of you to contact him to sign yu up to go, don't delay time it flying by.

District on a push to take advantage of Bill Gates matching grant proposal by asking us to contribute our spare change at our club meetings between now and February 29th. So bring plenty of change to our meetings for the next four weeks.

Pot O' Gold on track - Maryellen hawking tickets, will resell tickets for a 50-50 raffle Evan in charge. Betsey will have tickets next week.

$10 worth of scratch tickets due as soon as you can get them to Dave.

Our Speaker today Franco Majok was born in a village in South Sudan named Wunlang 43-45 years ago (date uncertain due to civil war).

Franco came here in 1998 and gained citizenship in 2005. He visited his native village the next year and met relatives and realized desperate situation in water supply and schools. In order to help he started “The Wunlang School Project, Franco delivered an excellent Power Point presentation of the progress made in just 1 and ½ years.
